Led by Dr Phil Okeke-Ihejirika of the Department of Women and Gender Studies, the University of Alberta’s (UofA) QES project contributes to developing innovative and community-focused researchers and leaders in Canada and West Africa. Our project provides select Francophone and Anglophone Canadian and West African scholars the opportunity to network, expand their skills, and engage local and global communities by building on our partnerships at the University of Ghana (UG) and Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK). Our project furthers meaningful scholarly exchange and mentorship through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of feminist-oriented established researchers and non-academic community partners.
